If your going to looking at reed motors. Check out BZM. Pricey but highest quality.
a $300 tiger king from gizmo and they carry the replacement parts is a much smarter idea then the reed version. Keep it simple....

Yep BZM for quality...đź‘Ť
But TK for performance and parts..đź‘Ť

I have the 26cc version of that engine from hobby king, and I can't say that I'm happy with it.

Hi Brad. Have you actually been running a CMB 27 Alpha-EVO? How is performance?

Regards,
Dave
I have no myself but I have seen them in Stus boat, Tom David’s boat, Dean Warges, and Buckshoot and they look amazing on the water. My father has one that he is putting in his gas scale as we speak.

OK have the TK 27 in a Insane G4. What should I set the pipe length at?? and what fuel/oil mix should I use. Going out for it's first run this weekend. Sorry for hijacking thread in advance. :p

I'm running an Open Port engine, 26cc, and Dave Marles recommends 13:1 for the oil mix on all of their engines! Not going to get into mentioning a quantity as you use US gallons and over here in the UK, we have an Imperial Gallon (well not so much now as we are metricated). Yes, that's quite a lot of oil but it does help to keep the engine cool as well.

Regards,

Michael R

Where do you get the tiger king motor from ?

Hi Kenny,

Prestwick Models here in the UK sells stock TK motors as well as modified versions. The new tuned 27cc reed crank case is shown as putting out 8.5 bhp! Not sure how that compares with what you are currently running in your Phantom 145 from Mcop Racing?
