Getting ready to toss out my PTI NX-365 with a Nova Rossi .46. And soon enough, will have the PTI GX-480 will be completed. Any suggestions for these two boats would help greatly.

Mark
On the 46 try a 1815.Ran that prop on Jack 46.tunnel and it is fast.

1450 is always a solid choice as well.
What engine will be going on the 480? We ran 70mm props with a 30.5 and propped down to 67mm with 28.5 and under engines.

Thanks for the suggestions. Certainly will give these a shot.

As for a gas motor, I do have a mild mod'd motor that's some 10+ years old. Had it mod'd after my last WTC race, but it's never seen fuel. My next motor will be mod'd by a club member, Troy Hammon. Troy's motors hold a few IMPBA records.

Walt, responded (again :) ) to the email.. Sent a PM on the snail mail.

1450s dorsure are a good reliable start point. X448, x450 other good stsrting points.

Here is a pic that (IMO) is a good starting point for pipe length on a Nova 46. Which is 85mm from inside radius to outside diameter of header just before the 90deg bend.

Mark,

Dave and Brandon gave you a couple of good suggestions.
I have both in stock if you need anything. 1815 & X-467 w/ V-Cut.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Kris,

Thanks for pic and info. At this time, running the Silver Bullet. Have two different Equi pipes to try also.

Mark,

Will be getting to you in a few weeks for props.

Mark,

I have a NX365 with a novarossi .46. Actually I think you built the hull. Anyways I have tried a lot of Props and the ABC 1915-19-38 from Mark Shouland has by far been the best for me. The 19 rake really helped settle the boat down. I just picked up a 1817-23-38. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m thinking it will be a good prop to. Also if you haven’t already moving the stumble blocks back or making extensions is a must. Or at-least it was for my set up. I spent a lot of time setting up the bottom. The NX365 is awesome . I have had a lot of tunnels and this one is by far my favorite.

Kenneth,

Yep, that looks like one of my builds. Can tell by the cherry wood tips. Boat runs nice.. Paul sent me that vid and prop information. That prop will be one that I'll be getting from Mark. As for stumble blocks, Paul has sent longer ones for the 365 and 400. Those will be standard in the new kits. My 400 would turn on itself with the old blocks. With the longers ones, the boat now rides on rails around corners.

Thanks for the update.
