here the problem,I had to start using my 4 px in Bermuda in my boats ,never had fail safe problems with my 4 pk now I have them , what can I do to fix the problem? Going to try antenna extensions ,but was thinking there might be a different receiver I can use. Currently I am using futaba r203gf with the antenna in a tube , with the old receiver fs603 antenna was in radio box no problems. Can anyone help me
Thanks Shane

The manual that comes with radio describes which servos will work

Or go on line to Futaba and it will describe what servos work with the 4 PX

Is it possible that it’s salt water , fail safe kicks in at furthest point, number 2 or 5. It was worse when I had carbon cover on my ac razor.

Carbon? Is the Antenna sticking out of the boat? the 614 is the best rec out there but its pricy

Hi Shane..

324 would be the best one for you. Make sure to place it in the boat with the label facing up and the antenna in a tube sticking out of the boat. (Straight up!)

Take care

Grim

P.S. Please also consider the 400mm rx antenna. you can have them pre-installed at Futaba USA.

Yah the 614 is for the 4 pk not for 4px.
Thanks grim I will try that ,do the 400mm antenna work with the 203 receivers
Thanks

I am not 100% sure.. I will have to check. I suspect they likely have other differences. What is know however is regardless of the transmitter used the power output is all the same.. Even surface to Air.. so the RX becomes more important in that regards. You want to make sure you have matched the RX to the application.

It would BUT.. the 203 is not a diversity RX.. if it was me I would pass on using it..

Just for your consideration.

The 614 does work with the 4PX.

In fact it is the only one that we can run two receivers in a twin with the 4PX

I have two twins with 2, 614 receivers in each twin and controlled by the 4PX.

Grim is the r324sbs the reciever your say is the best?

334 or 324.. NOT THE E Version.. both are great.. I have the 324 as my main squeeze!

Doc is correct.. if you want to have redundant RXs (I dont think that is what you were asking) you would need the 614..FASST RX.. and that too works with the 4PX.

Thanks you have helped a bunch. Can I buy the 324 from futaba with the long antenna?
Thanks

Just send a note to FUTABA USA asking them to change it.. YES they will do that for you.

Let them know we spoke.

One last question can I use 2 of the 324 receiver in a twin rigger set up , like the 614 .
Thanks

no.. you have to use 614s.. the reason is.. the 324 is a transceiver.. so it sends a signal too.. the TX can only accept one signal.

If you remember each FHSS RX has a digital ID.
