My new Crackerbox design. The lofting is finished and the frames are cut. I am going to coat the frames first with penetrating epoxy and then onto the jig. More to come.

Hello Bob..
I was just looking at you album area...the plum crazy looks like a Zipp kit...is that correct

Yes, that was a zip that I built about 3 years ago. I did real well with it, but I wanted to build one of my design. It’s a shot and may not run as good as Plum Crazy , but we will see.

I enjoyed my Zipp build...and still trying to get the hang of driving the boat...its definitely not a full throttle boat...
So what are your specs on your design..

It is built to conform to IMPBA and Namba. 43.5 length, 16.5 beam. No fee and 1/8” rocker 8” from transom. I wanted to go with the IMPBA beam of 15” but that would make it illegal for Namba.

Forgot the pics !

First layer of chines done, engine stringers and keel in place. One more lamination of spruce for the chines and then all the sanding and fairing.

Off the build jig and looking like a boat. Some sanding and sealing, then the deck framing.

Thanks, it’s called tumblehome in full size boats. It’s like the cracker I built about 10 years ago.
