Want to buy. Before I order from Stu I thought I’d check on here first...

Looking for following:

Current model CMB 45 EVO Engine.

Current model CMB 67

I will consider a cmb 67 greenhead..

Please let me know if you have anything you’d like to get rid of, prefer new or extremely low run time. Thanks..

I have green head 67 basically new. Upon break the water fitting came off and it overheated. Scored piston. So I replaced it with a new piston and sleeve. Done some clean up on the porting bits it’s stock timing and not run since replacing them $400

I recently sold two RS45 EVO engines that were NIB for $480 each. I have one more new RS45 EVO but I pulled the head off and took the piston and sleeve out to look at it. I put it back together with a new C-clip and I will include some extra C-clips. $460 shipped to you USPS. Prefer Paypal.

Ken,

I will think about it. Just had a person message me on a new in box greenhead for $400 shipped.

Steve, if it’s the new gold head EVO Rs I will take it. PayPal ready

I may be wrong, but I was told that if these engines get hot or lean they will simply shut down (not advisable) before the type of damage you have described occurs. Anyone? Is this true?
I have CMB and Novarossi's in the stable and have had no problems. All boats have a remote controlled HSN. (priceless)

Unfortunately not, if they run too lean they won't be receiving enough oil and then something has to give. Often it's big end bearings

I agree with the lean condition. I should have omitted that. I blend my own fuel so I know what in in the tank. However the overheating in my humble opinion should not have cause the severity of the damage described. Send a boat in the water rich, it will come back. Put it it lean and you will more than likely be retrieving it. (Hopefully without damage) Thanks for the reply Andy
