Thanks for sharing guys! I tried that 1619 prop and can tell you it goes very well with alot more RPM on my SAW Outboard haha

Keen to get some more testing done over the next few months that's for sure!

Well done once again to all involved!

I have not tried the ABC 1619-17-45 prop on my nitro boats...(pretty sure it was) the ABC 1619-19-38 prop on my 4S tunnel and it took me into the 90mph range on my (accurate) GPS...not sure on holding it through the traps though LOL

Alan-boat is taken apart right now for some hull repairs. When I get it back together I will weigh it and let you know but it will be less powerhead. I don't have the engine.

I am very glad to hear this. When that boat was offered for sale by another rc racer years ago, I bought it just because it was a piece of outboard record history. When I realized that I was not going to have the time to set it up and run it, the first thing I did was offer it back to Tommy. I knew that little boat still had record potential and glad to see these guys setting records with it! If you have ever seen it up close then you know that it is different and very innovative.

Update.... record up to 67.7 mph..... with fast pass of 69.5mph....now that's haulin' the freight....
Weather and water are perfect in Huntsville today....the stars are lining up for records today in Huntsville...lol

These videos have been deleted by the owner but can still be seen on Huntsville Model Boating Assoc.'s Face book page if anyone is interested. Look for the post from Bill Zuber on Oct. 14. There is also videos of Lamar Huffs super fast gas mono making record laps and Mark Grim's twin gas hydro running record laps-check em out!!!

I hate to mention but please next time make the videos like you watch tv...there is many more on the screen......

Tommy whats the setup weight rtr..no fuel0
Alan-I cannot answer this accurately. I do not have the powerhead or the battery but everything else weighs 4lb. 4oz.. I have never worried about making a light-weight st.-way boat but I always considered what the total rig would weigh when I designed the boat. That concept has worked out pretty good so far.

Well-the water at the turkey TT's in Huntsville was not perfect for tunnel boats but was good on and off all day Friday and a little windy on and off on sat. but if you were patient the water would get right for anybody that wanted to run. Friday morning while the water was calm our little B-sport boat made a pass at 70.4 mph but came off the water on the return run. Guess that is good enough reason to try again next time.

That's definitely some good numbers!

out of curiosity, is the motor still NAMBA stock?

Kris, yes it was the NAMBA box stock motor with the head shim removed. I think it measured out to .002" head clearance. We ran the water cooled power head with the air cooled muffler. Tommys boats are really light on the water and lets the little motors build RPM quick. This one is a blast to drive!!!

David is that your motor do you ran at the nationals ? And which prop did you guys run

That is just plain awesome David (and rest of the crew involved).

When people work together so much can be achieved, especially you guys!

Keep us updated!

Dave, no, we wore that one out in October, HaHa. I think it was a 16 19 45 19.(I get confused with all the numbers) the boat was happier with the 17 17 but it topped out at 67mph.

Did I read that right? .002 head clearance on a .21OB? Wowsers....

Those O.S. Outboards like it tight. We’ve always ran them without head shims, think we’re somewhere closer to .001 on my heat racing stock outboard.

Awesome job David and Tommy, that thing is moving. Hopefully we can make it up to Alabama again soon and catch a glimpse of that thing!
