The dummy Merlin engines I've seen available have all have short individual exhaust stacks on them, I need headers that turn up just ahead of the firewall. Anybody aware of a source, or will this be an item I’ll need to fabricate?

I'm not aware of any Unlimiteds which ran Merlins with log exhaust manifolds; those seemed to be strictly an Allison thing.

Thanks.
My research findings revealed the U47 Pay n Save/ Miss Seattle too, was a Merlin powered vessel, and it has exhaust pipes exiting just forward of the firewall. All the photos are somewhat small and grainy when enlarged, and the engine in both boats is completely black.

I'm no expert but became fascinated with the question. Valve cover bolts in back 3 vs 2, header bolts & lack of visible intake pipes... sure looks like a Merlin.

There is a video on YouTube of the SLO Mo Shun IV 50th anniversary run. The boat is quite clearly RR powered, and running long pipes.
