What is the general consensus on the AxeRossi glow plugs, are they worth running?
If you are asking about the Rossi glow plugs available from Al Hobb's Yes they are.
I have been running the R6 plug in everything from my CMB 21 Valvolas burning 60% (Al recommends R4's in the smaller engines) But I have better luck with R6's in all engines.
CMB 45RS's and CMB 67 green heads Burning 45%

Also have a Nova 21 5 port burning 60%, R6 in that also

Thanks Danny and Rick, I recently purchased 100 plugs from a distributor in Europe , the threads on the Turbo plugs are 6 to 7 thou too small and the standard plugs have leaking seals around the pin, so far only 2 plugs have not leaked.

Rossi have been notified but are on holiday for another 2 weeks, still unsure if I should get replacements or money back at this point

Strange. I use both the turbos and standards. The turbos are why I tried them. Hope you get it all work out. I haven’t had an issue.

It’s the first time I’ve tried the Axe plugs after my supply of O’Donnell plugs ran out, I was really surprised how bad they are the seals are leaking so bad that when the engine rotates over TDC there is little to no compression on a brand new engine...

Axe Rossi were the old original Rossi company, when the 2 Rossi brothers split around 1984 one went on to form Nova Rossi. Who are still trading as we know, i understand Axe Rossi which was run by the other Rossi's son shut up shop in the last few years.

Interesting info Steven, I did a quick comparison between the AX/Rossi turbo and 289T with a CMB 21 turbo head. With both plugs hand tightened there was less compression with the Rossi plug than the 289T. With both plugs tightened with a wrench both had good compression. With the engine running it should be easy to see if there is any leakage. I have bought plugs from AL and they seem to run fine but they dont seem to run as long like the ODs. With a good needle I have run OD turbo's all day
I also pull the wire on my plugs which always improves performance and longevity for me.

I used to run the Turbo plugs in my Rossi Niagara .21 years ago, sometimes one plug would last a year or more so no complaints from me.
