Looking for opinions on the type of strut for an 1/8th scale hydo, I know that the drive-dog
can't extend past the transom, what type of strut is commonly used in a 1/8th scale unlimited
hydro a standard or extended strut.

Looking for a side view of a round bow scale unlimited to see the type (standard or extended) and position of the
strut from the transom...……..or is this "Top Secrete" information LOL

I have been using Gary Jensen's struts/brackets for 20 years and they are bulletproof. I use the Octura reducer and Teflon inserts that require no petroleum lubrication. I use some Loc Tite Stud and Bearing Mount to install the reducers in the strut (clean the strut out first with a Q tip and lacquer thinner). I put the strut in a vise once the inserts are installed and run a piece of stub shaft in an electric drill on high speed and hone (both directions) the Teflon inserts using lots of WD40 for 10 minutes. You can get the strut(comes with brackets/fasteners) from Bill Brandt and the reducer bushings and inserts from Brian at Rocket City Racing. Both great guys to deal with.
