A FE boat is a whole new thing for me. I have a Mono hull 29" long 8" wide. It's has nothing with it but two fins on the outboard sides of the transom.

After perusing all the available stuff for sale I'm in a very confused state as what to purchase for this build.

With that said I would appreciate some advise on a motor, motor mount, running gear, ESC, and batteries to make this boat go fast. Now I don't have a ton of money so we need to be somewhat conservative, but I do like to have good solid stuff to work with.

Okay all let's make a really great boat I can be proud of.

I'll have more questions later for sure and it'll be fun seeing how this will turn out.

One other thing if someone has a whole system of compatible parts and would want to part with it, I might be interested in that.

Go to the OSE website and you will find everything you need.
First look at the TFL combined motor mount and strut
https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=tfl-B42530
Then I would go with a Leopard 3660 2050Kv motor
https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=leo-3660
and then a OSE Raider esc for 4S batteries
https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=OSE+Raider+Esc's
The ESC and motor have 6mm bullets pre installed, makes it simple. Add a rudder https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ose-80052
A 442 to 443 prop should run 45+ mph.
About $215 in bolt in hardware. Add your choice of 4S batteries as many good options out there. I like RT https://www.roaringtopusa.com/70c.
Hope this helps.

Thanks very much Mic. This is just what I needed. The variety of equipment out there is just immense so it gets confusing real quick. Now I can do some shopping.
