I have one as well. But the neck is very short on 21D carb..how do you hold it that motor because it's longer like a nova carb.

My 21D has a longer throat than the 20J off the OS outboards. Never heard of any issues with those carbs coming off.

However the 21D is a very nice carb!! Running the 21D on Nova Rossi .46 outboard make a big difference compared to the original NR carb.
All in all I just love the OS carbs.

i also run the 21 d carb on my 45 k/b ob 17 mm crank with very good results....bob
