slight side note...but did you see what Gabe Clegg did for someone to adapt an OS PTO to a CMB? Pretty neat.

There was a fella down in Florida machining OS pto’s to fit other engines. If I remember right his name was Winton Artz. He did a pto for one of my MAC powerheads, Mark Leyde, “Lights” did one for me also, but he has been gone from the hobby for several years.

Yep, Kevin Lee machined us down an OS pto for a green head CMB years ago. I don’t remember there being a readily available bolt-and-go assembly.

Bob Kensil did the work on a O.S. PTO to fit into a CMB Redhead for me. He also did work on a K&B 7.5 pto shaft to fit into a MAC that now sits on my HTB 290.

When Mark Leyde machined an OS pto to fit my MAC he also used edm on my MAC pto so a 7.5 K&B shaft would fit... was going to setup a 290 with a 7.5 lower like Mark Hopper suggested, but sold the hull and never did it.

Ive done a few, fairly easy job. There is no bolt on that I know of. You have to modify an OS PTO.

I was wrong, it was David Moyle not Gene Mongor. Here's a couple pics of the plate he used to make. It also requires a slightly longer flex cable to account for the plate.

James, does the mod consist of turning down the PTO base diameter, deepening the o-ring groove and adjusting the mounting counterbore spacing? Does the OS PTO shaft need modifications to the crank pin slot?
