This how to get sponson tubes glued and true with each other and the water

Once everything is trued up and clamp weight the sponsons down

After glue is dried I will cut the tubes in half

With metal or CF tubes slide a piece of boom tube over the sponson tubes and do the same clamping and weight the sponsons down

Mark Bullard and I have doing sponsons like this for years and it works

No it is not a ZIP KIT

It is an SST MARK BULLARD TUB DESIGN with flat plane front sponsons

It is a F twin. It will have 101’s for power

Thanks for the information. Can't wait to see finished project. Have been out of the racing scene since mid 2000's and looking to get back. Looking for .45's for my twin. It seems MAC and CMB are the main choices. Looking for any information to help with decision. Thanks.

MAC,s are not available now except as used

CMB VAC 45 is a good motor. I run one (older blue head)

NOVA add 45 is a good motor as well. It is a little less expensive

You can get the CMB from Stu Barr
Also you can get a good deal on the Nova dd 45 from Mark Bullard 256 303 6423

This is how one lined up the stuffing box/shaft

A little more progress. Primary work is repairing Internats damage on 3 boats.

Waiting for glue to dry and did some more work on the twin.

Two different cowls. The wood one is about 3-4 oz heavier.

Primary push on the twin is getting the radio installed

Do you have carbon tubes glued into the sponsons with solid carbon rod running thru the tub? What did you glue the tubes into the sponsons with? Boat is looking good! Thanks for posting the updated pictures.

Yes carbon tube, glued with Mass slow cure 2 part epoxy. The boom tubes are SANDED CF TUBE.

I get my CF tubes from
Carbonfibertubeshop.com

Great selection and sanded so a tube slides easily into another tube
