Are you tunnel heads racing these engines running them wet, or dry? Factory or aftermarket carb? Is the SPP pipe the pull away from the pack favorite?
Good point.. so in saying this.. for me.. it is (or was) winning races. I dont personally care how fast (MPH) the boat is. Time however is a different deal.
and you know the challenges in lower lap times.. a ton of crap as to align.. LOL
Would be fun to play with one of those setups. I dont run D tunnel typically so its a neither here nore there for me.. they are however fun to run and watch when they are really on! We dont see them all that much in our district.. at least in my time doing this. I do understand there was a nice following back in the mid 80s to mid 90s. (IMPBA Dist 4)
Maybe i should give it a go again.. might be fun

Mike,
I’m hooked on racing tunnels because to win you have to out drive the conditions on the course, and the other drivers.
Most of the time Mike, but not always. Sometimes you just want to see how fast you can go. Dialed in meaning finding the right motor/prop/pipe/ combo for the motor. Hull aside.
Larry, I have been through many hulls in the past 6 months, the quest continues. Rigging up a new Hellion right now, as well as a PTI NX400.
