Sport 20 beautiful wood hull.so perfect i always thought it was a glass hull! SST SPORT 21 on side of hull. novarossi modified and remote needled.A ton of life left. super clean inside and out.tested all 3 servos OK new flex shaft and throttle sevo.Everything looks ready to go! unknown builder.boat has not been run or tested. NICE BOAT who built/raced it?

It sure looks like a Mark Bullard build, the shingles on the sponsons, the general shape & style of the hull points toward Mark.
I didn't know he made any sport-20's but he did build a few sport-40's
So I'm going to say it's a Mark Bullard build. Who owned & raced it, I don't have a clue

Thanks for the info.I think I may remember Norris calling it a Bullard hull. Mark is this your boat?

Bill,Would you prefer to race your Bullard 20 or a whiplash 20? my whiplash was built for my son 15yrs ago. and thats my favorite,but if this hull will win more races i might think about keeping this one?

i am selling the boats Norris didnt build. I am NOT selling any of the boats that he built/raced. Im hoarding all his boats and stuff just like my buddy did....i really miss that ole'man...

Mark's design worked better than Phil's it would stay on the water better. That class never took off down here.

Joe,
Mark Vorhees has one of those and it is really fast. I believe it is as fast as a Whiplash, but handles better and is better in rough water.

Thanks for your input Bill and Ken.The bullard boat has no lead stick on weights added to it like my whiplash does.This probably would make a great rough water,windy day hammer down racer.Wish the original owner would see it and have me send it"home"! Its great to unite a racer and his old boat back.Also great to re coupe some of the funds spent on buying someones collection! joe

Yes, Its a impba leagal hull, the motor and pipe not visible from the left side! lol Nova/front exhaust motored boats usually have the pipe exposed. impba sport 20s also allowed the struts to be on the back of the transome where they belong in my opinion.

It's taken years to get good at the nitro stuff...that little boat runs so good...my son has what may be the only other boat from that generation...He currently holds the namba 6 lap heat racing record...

Yes that is one of my boats. Doc Turner painted the boat. I built about 6 of theses boats many years ago. My daughter ran one that I also ran a little. Doc ran this one Bill Zuber had one. And I sold one to a guy in Evansville and that's the one Mark Vorhees has it now. The other two boats I just gave to a couple of our new boaters the finish up and get running. I still have all the templets for the boat. The boat will hold its on in B hydro very well also. I just don't run B motors. The way I look at it, if I can not get my little finger in the piston hole I don't need it.
