We are excited to announce that the Madison Regatta has invited our Propwalkers Model Boat Club to be a part of the Regatta festivities.  They want us to race during their down times on the river.  We are looking to put on a great show of Thunderboats and Gas Scales for the Regatta goers!  Your entry fee to this race will include a Regatta wristband.  More info and details will be coming the first week of April!  Stay tuned if you are interested in running with The Big Dawgs on the river!

I think I'd fit right in...

****! I don't have the vacation time to drive back and join you all and, to make matters worse, my gas scale isn't done due to my unpredictable work schedule. Guess I'll have to wait until 2021, if you're still racing on the river two years from now :(

Do you have to be entered in the RC race to run on the river?

Hello, I would like to run a couple thunderboats race weekend. One of the boats belong to Tony Michel "COUNTRY BOY" Lauterbach reproduction. He asked me last week if i would race his boat this summer....well yeah!! Who or where does my entry fee get mailed too? JOE P.

We are still working with Madison Regatta Inc to get the details of this event. We know for sure we have a 4 hour window of river time on Friday of the race weekend, but we are still unsure of the Saturday times. We will not have an entry fee as this will be more of an exhibition race, not racing for prizes. Racing on Saturday will require a Regatta wristband, which we will offer at a discounted rate.

I am not sure what your question is. We will ask for entries FOR the river race seperate from our usual District 14 race the weekend before. They are two seperate events.

We will be down to run the regatta, but will not have time for the D-14 race. If it's two separate events, then that was my question.

The District14 is Sat June 29. The weekend before the regatta. The regatta itself is July 6-7. On Friday the 5, it will be RC. Maybe Saturday also.

The event on the water for Friday will have a sponsor that Don McKay worked hard to get. The sponsor is Hobby villa Crestview Ky. Spektrum. Prizes will be available from that sponsor. For those interested in running there Thunderboats and Gas Scales please directly contact Don McKay on Facebook or on IW as Gale54.

We will have water time from 1pm to 4pm on Friday July 5th. You do NOT need a wristband that day for the races.

With H1 being H1, they took our Friday time slot of 1-4. Now the regatta is working to give us water time Friday from 9am-11am and 5pm-6pm. As well as making it an option we can run again Saturday/Sunday from 9-11 again. They are also going to provide an award to be given out from the regatta for the winners of Thunder boat and Gas Scale. As before get with Don McKay (Gale54) to sign up.

This first time event went off great. Thanks to all that worked so hard. I had a blast!
