Lol that was only a small part of the problem.
When I get back to AZ and can spend a little more time on the boat I’ll let you know what I have done.
David shed a great deal of light on the problems.

OK got back home and really took a look at the boat this post is about 45 SGX
I must say that David had the best advice and after measuring and leveling boat we were able to determine that it had been built wrong.
It, as he said is running downhill all the time and when driven into a turn it hooks because of that. The way it is now it would never attain top speed and is unreliable. In short the rear shoes are too tall as is the shaft log forcing the nose down even if the strut were moved upward where the original drawings ahow it to belong.

If the servo mushed out mid turn, wouldn't the boat unhook?
Having the turn fin too far forword will cause a boat to spin. Looks like you would need a new fin that is set back a quarter inch or so using the same mounting holes.
