International Waters moving to Xenforo Software

Approximately end of next week International Waters will be moving to Xenforo.

All my other forums run on Xenforo. All the good developers left vBulletin after vB3 to create Xenforo.

Just a few forums on xF.

It would be a change but I think we would be better in the long-term with it.

We don't know the stability of IPB, they are not that popular. Further, I'm seeing a resurgence of posting on other forums but Internation Waters is not growing. I think all the pros of xF will improve activity.

Also, will have my assistant, Angie around to answer questions and help when the change happens. She should be logging on soon.

Yes. We take the content or else there would not be a forum. We try to make sure the content, settings, same forums, etc.

Any way to get the old Coppermine gallery to work again while you're at it?

Unfortunately not. The images have been merged here and we can have a Gallery on the new site that allows individual albums.

That Coppermine gallery was connected with the former versions of IPB, it was not made to link to XenForo.

Thanks. So if the gallery on the new site allows individual albums it should be very similar to the old Coppermine gallery?

One thing that used to be attached to the forum was a "chat room'. Do you see this as something possibly returning or no?

I'm Angie using the owner's Admin account until I make my own to help you out. I'll be making an Angie account, but no last name.

There is a way to make Categories and Sub Categories in the Media section and then members can make Albums. I'll be asking for some help with the Categories that will be needed.
