Has anyone tried making a multi cylinder nitro two stroke with Rc technology? It would be cool if someone built a v4, v6 or even a v8.

Actually this was a joint venture with David Hall and myself...

This was a twin that fired 180 degrees of each other with a cartridge induction system that

mechanically separated the twin into [2] individual engines....

This induction design placed new cool fuel directly to the rod bottom with every revolution....

This made the motor "blow-up" proof and believe me we tried to grenade it......

We demo started this motor at the Internats in the early 2000's in Evansville....

It would run at WOT at 45K and it would run until it ran out of cooling and or fuel....

This caused a bit of a crowd in the pits when running.....

45K rpm is actually painful to listen to.....

Lots of people have done this. The issue is that you either need to divide the crankcases so you have a series of single cylinder crankcases, or you need a blower. Below are links to a couple of designs:

We really thought we had something till we found out that Evinrude did it in 1941 on their 4 cylinder Zepher motors. HAHAHA
