Hey gang. I'm asking this question all over the place. Anybody racing any 2s boats anywhere in the US? We were barely able to field heats for the 2014 nats. We only added them in because it was a "nats". I've raced all over the country and haven't seen an N2 boat other than a time trial since 2014. Curious if any of you knows of a group running 2s boats.

First order is congrats on the Q mono record. Very respectable time.

Not much action over here as on OSE. From a long time nitro racer and a few years in FE I see 2S as a very costly class. I am playing with one now for records and 250+ amps shows up on my data logger. Few people will afford the ESC's needed and your chance of resale on 2S equipment is very limited.

The bread and butter and maybe future of FE heat racing is probably 4S limited. Cost here is reasonable for recruiting new racers and speeds respectable. We have now in our Florida district P & Q with cat and mono combined which is a great start from no recognition at all. This will get expensive with the bling factor of twins. I would love to see some kind of non record Q (6S) sport class with say a 40mm X 84mm max single motor. Speeds enough to satisfy and reliability with reasonable cost ESC's. A logical step up in performance from P spec without breaking the bank.

Everyone worries about too many classes but the reality is how many you can get to support any class. The list is only options, and up to local groups of racers to support classes that will attract new people. Growth is the goal if we want to have competition in the future.

4S limited is definitely the way our club has gone. There are some gas racers and a very few die hard nitro racers, but the majority, especially the new people, run electric. We get a cross over from RC cars and those people already have electric support equipment.

Thanks. There's more in the boat but I couldn't hit pin 4 in lane one to save my life. Ended up blowing out the turn over and over. I think that if I gave my son some time with it he could lower it some more. He was .02 off my time and he hasn't driven it since April. It's his boat anyway. Really pleased with the ML kit.

You guy are kinda seeing N2 the way I am. Unnecessary class from the dark ages. When we were running N2 sport at trials we were in the low 200's and not going any faster than a limited boat. 2s2p 10k so same number of cells as a limited boat but with a pricey motor and more pricey ESC. Just doesn't make any sense anymore IMO.
