My motor mount in my 40 Twin Craft needs replacing for several reasons.

I was thinking of going to a drop mount, if it will fit.

Before my attempt I was wondering if it will that change my COG in any way?

I would not think just lowering would.

While typing this I thought it may be a dumb ?, but it doesn't hurt to ask except my pride.

Thanks In advance

Tim

Tim, I have a set of Speedmaster drop mounts I'll send you at no charge.

It may change the angle of the drive cable and stuffing tube. If you don't make sure it's inline...you will bugle the stuffing tube.

I run drop mounts in all my boats, but I machined them from bar stock. My engines sit low enough in the boat that you can't slide a quarter under them.
