Sooner or later you will need to service the tanks and I got tired of dealing with it and made a hatch . Area around the cutout (4" X 7 " ) was reinforced and a strengthening lip added . Flotation will be added to the hatch just in case . It will be taped for waterproofing as well .

I used a dremel flexshaft and the small dremel cutoff wheel to make a **** near perfect cutout . I was surprised !! Best of all I found the problem that caused me many headaches and DNS heats as well as DNF heats , a tiny pinhole in the pipe pressure line that did not show up on a pressure test till you wiggle the line and apply soapy water to it . I thought this might help some people to deal with this maintenance issue ..

Nice job, what's up with the prop marks?

That will certainly make your life easier, and came out really well compared to other efforts I have seen.

I think the key to yours looking so good was, you did it BEFORE you fought the tanks for hours and then cut the hatch

It sure would be cool if Jerry incorporate that into the deck mold

I still say it could be easily added to the upper deck mold but I think Jerry enjoys knowing its a pita to work on the tanks.
