Rick,

I used the 9B needle, but be careful that they are tight and aligned up properly.

I am going to in flight needles instead. They need to be mounted vertical for best

results. If running horizontally check to see if they move at all with your flow meter.

thanks i am building a new twin soon and was considering switching over to fixed needles instead of the remote ones

but wasn't sure what the difference of these were from tower

Your top link is for a 21 sized needle, so I'd guess a smaller orific and finer taper to the needle

The second link is for a 9B carb, which is a carb for larger engines,,, the 9B carb is commonly used on the CMB 67's & 80's = more flow.
