VERY nice job!! how does it run????

bro very nice. i love that boat. some guyz told me that the dym.32 was not enough motor. well after seeing this boat boogie, i beg to differ. that boat moves. great work bro..

Thanks everyone!

She certainly does move along. Just ran it again today. The engine is all broken in and I'm slowly leaning her out. I don't have a GPS right now (mine flew out of my rc truck) but I would say at least 40 right now. I did have one blowover, so I added a little negative to the strut to keep the bow down - runs great now.

Then during one of our races today, my 5 cell batt pack had a meltdown and burned up in my radio box - took out the batt, throttle servo, and switch harness. Easy fixes, no major damage. It had flipped during the race, and when we pulled it out, we found the mess. DOn't know if the flip caused it, but something shorted out.

Anyways, its a great running boat, and the .32 has been absolutely trouble free.

My buddy has a modified .32 and an ABC H5 prop - easily pushing 50 - a blast to watch that boat run. we are working on getting some vids w/gps speeds up soon.

A .21 puts out more power@RPM's then that .32 dynamite motor..the boat might move and boogie..but put a .21 and you'll see a screamer....it's a nice looking boat thow..

Im glad to see someone use the .32! About time someone else lined their vegas with carbon fiber too!!

That Dynamite .32 was a great little engine, I had the same motor in my old Shockwave 36, and it moved that boat extremely well, it hauled the mail many times, good luck!

I agree, the .21 does put out more power and rpms - but at three times the cost(not to mention replacement parts).

For a $100 motor, you can't beat the bang for the buck ratio. ;)

not really.. you can get a GO.21,25,.28 pull start for close to that admount ...there not slouch eighter..those pull better rpm's@HP...

What does that have to do with my boat? This is not a thread about alternative motors.

nice looking set up, how does she handle?

Thanks - She handles great. I started off with the turn fin in the stock position, but soon discovered that it needed to be lowered since I did the sponson mod. We are still trying different props. M445, X645, ABC H4 and maybe an H5. The motor still has all the shims, and hasn't been modded at all. I may also try the Super Tiger carb that people have been using in their Thundercat 31. Next run will be on Tuesday - we will be trying to get some video footage for you.

yea i learned the hard way ( lost boat into bank hard) that i needed to lower turn fin after i modded the sponsons lol!

Looks like you have it running good. I'm surprised you can run that big of prop on it
So was I. The Dynamite .32 seems to have alot of torque. I believe the engine started out as an airplane engine, then was modified a little for marine use. I will be trying an ABC H4 (42.5 mm Diam 66mm Pitch) next. A smaller diameter, but more pitch. Or, de-tongue the X645.
