I'm still learning about electric power. It would be easier for me if you could tell what props are working best for you now.

Hi Andy,

When you do get a prop chart together is it possible to post that on your web page with a link here to it? I figure that after all the posting people make about the props that the list will get lost in the shuffle. It would be very easy to reference a page on cmdi.com for all the current props without having to read a whole thread.

Tested a variety of props this weekend on a couple of different boats. I didn't have all that I wanted but I thought I would try what I had where I thought they may have some potential.

Dad's Scale (CMB .67) with AB Black Pipe on Velasco Hull.

Tried 5074 and 5077C. Had good RPM. Seemed faster but needed more lift

Then tried 5083A. Had crazy RPM with enough lift but boat cavitated in turns. Speed was okay. Overall the boat just didn't like the prop as far as smooth running goes.

C Mono (Mac .67) with new AB 3 piece pipe on Aeromarine Titan

Running with Stryker and Seaducer Gas Cats, some wind and little bit of chop

Tried 5077 (spec'd for 45 Monos but decided to try it on the .67) first time in the water with .67 mono set-up config for heat racing. Literally screamed! Was lose with Gas boats and chop but manageable. Good enough to consider it a 2 lap contender. 6 Lap 1 mile record boat...No problem. Unanimously impressed all who saw it. I then tried the 5074C. The boat was a little slower but more stable. I should have tried the 5083A I had but didn't think about it until now. It could definitely run more prop as I could creep up to the start West Coast style and slam the throttle for instant response. I had no radar gun but judging from the Rs, the prop pitch, ride attitude and my experience with the boat it was probably somewhere in between 65 and 70 mph.

Here is a list of props and purposes taken from this string.

No 21 rigger props yet.

I just ran a bunch of 45mm, 47mm and 50mm props so those of you who have had any of these on order, they will be arriving to you soon. (Have lefts & rights of all the 45mm through 50mm props now.)

While I was running these props I did some work on two different 21 rigger props.

One will be close to a 1445 cupped 3.3" which is a very popular race prop for many.

The other is 48mm and is close to an H-7 or trimmed 1450 cupped around 3.6"

They are two blades and should cover a fairly wide group of 21 rigger/engine combos.

Today/tonight I'm running off Medium rudder assemblies. We had a large backlog for those, so again, those who have been waiting they will arrive soon.

These newest medium bracket assemblies are machined from 7075-T6, so they will be stroger than past units.

And yes.....I'm making progress on engine parts too!

P.S. Roger, The 5096B may work well on that scale boat. I'll have those ready to ship out shortly.

Andy, please is there any progress in my bulk prop orders??.

Time is also running in Europe (Belgium) and I am not so young anymore. Still waiting for more than a ONE year.

Please, I want to place a second bulkorder, but you will understand that I have some doubts. I must also keep the promises to the guys of our club that have placed sub-orders.

Andy... just wanted to reiterate that I was using those props with the .67. You know the same or similar set-up we ran at the straight-lines in LA a few years back. I ran the 5074 with the Mac .45 and the new AB .45 3-piece pipe a few years weeks back. The speed was okay (not awesome maybe 15/16 sec/laps) good enough to run with the pack I guess but really I am comparing it to the 13 to 14 second NAMBA record laps the boat has acheived in the past which it does with the Prather 240 at 3.8" and/or 240 at 4.7". It could also be because be that my .45s are tired because they surely not spinning up that high now. (hint! hint!)

However, with the .67 and th 5077 the boat had lots of RPM and awesome speed as I mentioned before still with more to go. I am sure it can between 11 and 12 second laps easy.

Been off-line for about 5 months...are these props still being made?? Broke a blade off my 5077 this last weekend...

Price?? Availability of 5077 and 5074??
