I must also say this..

I have NEVER in my life had so much fun reading this topic... I can not wait to see my racing buddies again.. Truth be told its the guys in this hobby that make it fun.. Smackwells.. Byrd, TopFuel, Don, Johno, Carl and all the cast of crazies...

We pull out at 5am CST and should be pulling in around 9pm.. Somebody make sure that they have a beer cracked open for me at the motel..

Well guys, the smack race has gotten much tighter. It seems that one of the 6 MOD-VP boats has had a full blown casualty and will not be able to run this weekend. So we are down to 5 boats in that class. Just gets a little hotter for some and others to go and hide I suspect.

Grim, you are right about this topic being entertaining. You see, the CMB club puts racing as it's second priority. Having fun it the first priority and all of these guys help it along very well. Glad you will see it first hand and will make the long trek worthwhile. Wait until you see the stuff in person. Will be a wonder if you will be able to see your boat through the tears of laughter. And I kid you not.

You know John years down the road some kid is going to walk around that pond and hear all of our laughter come bubbling back to the surface :D Oh and no doubt some of the SMACK!

Believe it or not Grim, what you got at the Internats was only a small taste of the great times that we have. You might as well crack you open a cold one now and get broken in by the time you reach Walterboro. Though, I have to give these guys credit, and this doesn't come often so you guys better pay attention, hanging around this bunch for you having a beer would just be an added plus but definitly not a neccessity because when your around this group of guys you'll have fun either way.

Now on to smack talk:

Guys,

I've been keeping up with all that is going on here and sure looks like you have all been having a blast! I hope the race will be just as much fun for all of you. I sure wish that I could be there but a 12 hour drive is just too long for me to try to make in a weekend.

I wish all of you the best of luck and give the rest of us the cannot be there all the updates asap!

The weather looks like it will be good for making boats run fast this weekend! I don't have an Internet connection at the lake but I will be home Sat night and I plan to post an update at some time that night. I will post at least the current standings. I will try to get some pics and possibly video clips loaded but no promises. Check in after 9:00 and I should have some information available. This is model boating at its best! Check your ego at the door and race hard! When it's all said and done we're just here to have fun and hang out with friends! :)

When the green flag drops, you know the rest! :D

Grim I just dont see how you could have anything that runs at all this time of the year being that all the ponds in the great white north are frozen. You been out ice fishin all winter long and I am sure dont quite remember how to start those boats at this point. Dont worry I will help ya get back on track and then you can follow me around for 6 laps so you can find the finish line.

Twas 2 days before the race not creature was stirring not even a mouse, everyone getting ready to leave their house,The heats have been set and somebodys gonna lose a bet, Weather will be cold but yall will be bold,Racing is gonna be tight ,you got that right,No doubt it will be a bout, If your not on time the heat will be mine,With any luck, trophys will be in 1 truck,

  • Hurl
  • Zaborniak
  • The Yodeling German
  • The Dog Called Otto
  • Santa Claus Rushing
  • And last but not least, Jeff Whiddon's biatch
  • Ect., Ect., Ect., the list goes on
Would have had a chance to be on the same lap as the Atwells, 1, 2, and 3 on the last lap. So I guess this means that ya'll are sh*t out of luck. Leaving the house so I hope everyone has a safe trip, can't wait to see you guys in a couple hours. Then we'll see who's pulling whos chain(*cough, BIRD, *cough).
