  • Nothing worse than waiting on parts to start a build, especially when it's holding up four other boats at the same time

good luck in Atlanta go hawks...
Relearned first hand why you never break "Driver Rule #1", never take your eyes off your boat. Violating that rule cost me one vertical, one rudder shaft and a damaged cowl on Saturday

if you followed Don Ferette's 3 step process that would have never happened

And what is Don's "3 step process"? I've never heard anything about it
I love it, finally got to see more than one heat of scale racing this morning only to see that the gas scales are almost as fast as the nitro scales. The only real difference, other than gas boats being 20% larger, was the nitro boats accelerated faster.

Detroit Update: U22 Blew over on Saturday, U-11 crashes on Sunday, both drivers unhurt. It was also said that the U-37 almost went over due to windy conditions on the river during heat 4A. Both the 11 and 37 were towed back to the pits, the 11 upside down and the 37 right side up

The 88 went over in the next heat right where the 11 blew over. They finished racing after a wind delay of a couple of hours. All the driver's were un hurt. Thank goodness for the safety capsuls.
I like it, the Tyndell fin and bracket are now installed on my Muck hull, just need to get longer screws as the ons I have are too short. HOPEFULLY, I'll have a new facing on the transom by tomorrow night
THIS SUCKS, one .18, two .21, three .45, two .46 and five .67s and none have burned a drop of fuel this season
Looks like I'll be busy this weekend getting a boat ready to run for next weekend

Unfortunately, it's been all about work and previously planned road trips. At least I'll get to take my R/C Unlimiteds driver's test next weekend
Looks like building season has started, just ordered a cowl for a scale hydroplane. Now I just have to save up some $$$$ for an engine, pipe and carb

Joe, I will have a boat on the water this season, plain and simple. I'd just rather not be forced to pull the engine and pipe out of one boat to run a second. Mike, it's in my Muck hull as I type this and, if I can't come up with enough cash to a second set up, it's going into the new scale and the Muck will just sit on the shelf until I can get an engine and pipe for it.
What's on your mind?has taken some reference shots of the 1980 Juggernaut and several other boats at the HARM. Hope these help those building this boat.
