I thought about that Foley, but the bore is over 1/2" in front of the window. This has to affect the fuel flow for sure. Should have at least been formed in the crank during the milling process. Look at this..........
Tim posted that he and Mark did theirs in 40 minutes. If thats the case for almost $300 I would think it would be included as a finished product to the other 20-30 customers that purchased from them, don't you?....
If not, it should have been disclosed at the very beginning that the kits were being supplied un-finished and its up to the individual to either finish them or pay someone to finish. EVERYONE thought they were getting finished kits. You should see the private PM's I have received. Unlike me, they just don't say anything.
I would still try one un ramped as my Mac 67 that is un-ramped screams and the ramped one is no better . not a scientific evaluation , but I would try it . I'll bet it doesn't show any "seat of the pants " gains . Worth a try .
Not involved but just the fact the cranks exist is monumental..what else would one do ?
Thanks Tom. Does your Mac have the crank boes 1/2" past the front of the window? That has to make a huge performance killer. Knowing this, elected to go ahead and make them right before using them as it would be much easier now. I have them ramped. I ended up using JB Weld at the suggestion of another friend that modifies engines. I did all three today. You are correct, who else would do these? I just don't think it gives them the right to either not finish the job or not disclose that these are not finished, until you open the package several weeks behind schedule, and close to the event you wanted them for, as by them, there are no options. Thankfully, NovaRosi has already designed their own reverse crank so getting a finished factory reverse crank will be a reality very soon. Its not about demand, but integrity.........
Ron, is it honestly 1/2 inch past the front window? I dont think there is 1/2 inch TOTAL area on the crank between the window and the front. But i dont have a crank here in my hand so just curious what the actual measurement was?

Right at 1/2", or I would have just tried it like it was as Foley suggested. Look at the picture below. You have to zoom in to see just how deep the hole is up into the front of the crank. You can just make out the bottom of the bore. The end of the bore was rounded so that part of the bore was actually further than 1/2"........
