After all that I just had to make some chips so I mounted a hunk of aluminum and took some light cuts - like budda!
All in all a great project that took about 3 months of pretty steady work, but I have a solid machine that will certainly outlast me and should go another 50 years no problem. Wonder if they'll know what it's for then? :)
