TecnoPower in Italy presents their first generation "Just Better" marine engines.

The new TP M01 and M02 .21's are power-head engines for the O.S. .21XM rig or a Lawless/K&B rig...

Very much looking forward to trying this new powerhead out!

Lets pin this for a while...

This is big news for OB Tunnel heads. It will be nice to have another engine option, and the folks behind this thing KNOW THEIR STUFF!

I need to double check it, Im at home and the pricing is at work...

I will check with Rody about the expected availability also - but I think its quite soon (from the factory that is)... :)

Looking good for OB Tunnels! Will be looking forward to seeing price and availability

In the 02 engine, I noticed a "C" clip at the bottom of the PTO to hold the PTO shaft in place. Do you know the reasoning for this clip? Does it interfere with the fit onto the Lawless unit? And mods needed for it? No other brand has this that I am aware of.

Everything else looks exceptional.

Yup... That clip is to stop the pTO shaft from "walking" up into the con rod. When the drive dog starts to wear, that is where bind starts to occur. The old speedmaster PTO from Bill McGraw use to have a nut, Just like the OS assembly currently does. Good flex shaft preventive maintenance will do the same thing.

The inner diameter of recess in the Lawless drive is 13 mm. The outer dia of the C-clip is 12 mm. So no. It wont interfere. :)

When will they be available for purchase?

I checked them out and the only difference in the two is the M01 has a OS style PTO and uses a turbo plug. The M02 has a K&B style PTO and a standard plug. Both are vary nice engines.

Are the sleeves the same as there buggy engines or are the timed like marine engines?

mark, if you look further down on the tecnopower pages, standard & turbo plug heads are available for both style powerheads.

Having more engine options is a great thing for the O/B tunnel classes!

Any idea on the crankshaft size and the bearing size inside the motor?
