I have a sheet of brass and was wondering if it would work ok to make a tank out of it?

I know brass is a softer metal....

anyone?

oh yeah, the tank would be going into a .12 Cheese

mike, brass don't like vibration, if you can, use the .008 or .010 thick solder tin metal for K&S metals and use a 40 or 80 watt iron .be careful with the 80w, it will warp the tin if it get to hot. i use the sta-bright solder

You can use the brass to make the tank, but it will crack where you bend the brass,

what I have is a sheet of .010" brass from K&S.

If Tin is the way to go I can always pick a sheet of that up no problems.

I am making a trip to my LHS to pick up a few different materials to play around with.

From what I am hearing though the brass is not the choice to use.

Thanks for the advice on material folks! Must say people on here are most helpful.

And while I have everyones "cyber ear",

Does anyone have plans or guidance on construction of the tank?

Here's one I did a while back, see "Outrigger Build" in my gallery for more explanation:
