To name a few:

19th Amendment
21st Amendment
Social Security*
Medicare*
Civil Rights Act
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
The Affordable Care Act*
The Pact Act

All were bills by democrats.

*Legislation that Republicans are opposed to that help millions of Americans.
Funny you mention Social Security since it was Lyndon B Johnson "Democrat" that started the tradition of borrowing from social Security and just never paying back. I know almost every administration since LBJ has used it as a slush fund.

Ah yes let's keep blaming the c0vid deaths on Trump. Enough of that already, the left is so quick to forget it was the Dems who totally railed against Trump about restricting travel and closing borders early on because of c0vid. Oh how quick you forget Pelosi saying on national news "come to Chinatown don't listen to Trump, there's nothing to fear". The same non stop crap from DeBlasio, Cuomo, Whitmere, Wolf, Newsome, on and on. And there have been more c0vid deaths under Biden but I guess that's Trump's fault too. And it did not have an effect on the border, stricter enforcement was the key to slow downs which is no longer happening. The failure of the Texas power grid was directly caused by DOE refusing to allow them to ramp up output ahead of the weather because it would raise emissions level outputs at the plants above Federal limits. And this one made me bust out laughing - "Low interest is nice but helps fuel a recession". No, reckless printing and spending causes recessions. You do realize that 40% of ALL the money EVER printed in U.S. history has been printed in the last 15 months......

I'm not a republican nor a dem starting with the covid deaths more people died on bidins watch with the vaccine then trump without but the person who listed about all the things dems gave us and your going back to the stone age don't forget to add slavery the kkk the highest gas prices in history the north American free trade agreement energy dependency the highest inflation in 35 years a major border crisis I can go on my grandfather said you can judge a president simply by asking yourself are you doing better financially then the last administration and the answer for every single American In This country is no dems can't spin it talk around it blame it on Putin lol that's a fact period .I voted for more dems in my life then republicans and this administration is a disaster of epic proportions and the Dems can lie there way around it all they want but this country is right now the worst it's been in the 65 years I've been on this earth period. So if your a dem on here trying to make good by talking about the past just stop. Own what's going on now and move on

I agree too much pork and unnecessary crap in some of the bills.

As for the republicans wanting Social Security, and Medicare modified/slashed so that they would not work as they have for generations. There is a lot of info out there.

How many times did the repubs vote to get rid of the Affordable Care Act? 70 or more.
If I'm reading this correctly, you are in favor of the affordable care act?
I feel the affordable care act was/is a "sham" of epic proportions.
The Pact Act from my understanding does very little for veterans but has a crap load of "fluff" in it.

Sounds like you're another one who needs to find a new hobby.
Good luck! 😉
So, what your insinuating is that anyone who disagrees with your political values should not be in this (your) hobby? How far are you going to carry that in the real world beyond this "Off Topic Forum"
We have a right to free speech as long as it doesn't differ from you.

I have a question on electric cars I heard that if you use the heater or ac on electric cars it cuts the distance in half and. why can we charge a battery on a gas vehicle while running but can't charge a electric car while running thanks Jeff Barnes

Jaguar had an experimental concept car a few years back. They used 2 tubines under 100Hp each running at a constant speed powering 4 200hp electric motors one on each wheel. A super car in performance. I think you could similar to a Deisel locomotive combine IC and Electric and make a very efficient vehicle. A small motor running at a constant efficient speed charging a larger battery pack. Hybrid.

There is NOTHING affordable about the ACA. As soon as this passed, on my next billing, my premiums did stay the same but my coverage went to complete crap and my deductible tripled. I had awesome insurance till then. To get equivalent insurance to what I had, my premiums would of quadrupled. Some of our representatives were listening, that's why they were trying to get rid of it. Obama kept telling us our insurance would go down, didn't he. Complete garbage.

Not necessarily the Affordable Care Act itself. It does have it's issues for sure. But some sort of universal health care. The USA is the richest country on the planet. Why shouldn't it be something that is provided to both Repubs and Dems (Citizens)?? A lot of countries provide health care of some sort:

Countries with Universal Health Care

The Pact Act is better than nothing, it was bipartisan. I guess we'll see where the pork goes.

Sorry to hear that. Wouldn't make me happy either.

The ACA did little if anything for the average American. It did get a lot of press coverage and the public slant turned out to be quite a bit different from the actual results.

The USA does not have enough doctors. When you go to see your doctor, the desk asks you what else you have besides Medicare or Obama Care. If you don't have additional coverage, in many places the doctor you want to see, won't accept you as a patient.

Why should a doctor acdept payments of 40% of the bill, when people with additional coverage are waiting to see the doctor. In California, almost 1/2 of the doctors won't see a patient that only has Medicare and/or Obama Care.

As I see it, both parties, Democrats and Republicans have the very same agenda, what they need to do to get elected.

About 1/3 of Americans will vote Democratic no matter who is running. About 1/3 of Americans will vote Republican no matter who is running. It is the other 1/3 of Americans that actually choose who will win. No one can win without the independant voters.

To get nominated in the first place, the politician must win the party primaries. So what they say in the primaries is not necessarily what they say in the general elections. And, as we all know, it is difficult to tie any politician down to what they had to say earlier.

And, when they win the general election, they walk in lock step with their party's leadership. I may live in Montana, but our Democratic Senator does what the Senator from New York tells him to do. This is also the case with our Republican Senator.

Barry Goldwater said, "A politician thinks about the next election. A statesman thinks about the next generation." 60 years later this is still true.

Leave you with this thought.

You and I vote to elect our senators and representatives. They are supposed to work for us. Technically they are our employees, you don't like them you fire them by voting them out.

Here's the wage and benefit package your/my employees get:

Wage Benefit Package

Vested in the pension program after 5 years...

Your/my employees should not have better benefits than most of us do...

Well said...

And another thing, all this liberal agenda is to me a disgrace to our party!!! Open boarders, transgender, gun control is total B.S

MICHAEL
1. The boarders aren’t open, neither party wants to open the boarders.

2. Transgender? WTF do you even mean by this? The existence of transgender people has nothing to do with a political party. They have existed well before the United States or it’s political parties. Acknowledging that and letting people live their own lives in a way they want to live them SHOULD fit with what republicans claim to be about, freedom, liberty, small government, but the truth is they aren’t really about that at all, they are only about freedoms for people who look, act, think, and feel the exact same way they do and punishing anyone who doesn’t.

3. Gun control… Do you know what “well regulated” means?

  1. Actually, the southern border is WIDE OPEN. There's no other way to explain the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS that have entered Texas, Arizona, California and New Mexico from Mexico, not to mention the tons of illegal and fatal drugs that have been seized. The Democrats have invited these people with the plan of making them legal voters that will vote for Democrats in future elections. Now that the Governor of Texas is bussing these people to Washington DC, they are starting to feel what the rest of the country is feeling. It's been so effective that the mayor of Washington DC has requested the National Guard to help control the "flood" of 4000 or so that have arrived there, so far
  2. No arguments on this one
  3. Gun control is in violation of the 2nd Amendment which specifically states GUN OWNERSHIP IS A RIGHT THAT SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Granted, there are situations, such as convicted felons losing the right to have firearms, that does make sense since they have already proven they can't handle having that right.

2021 saw the U.S. admit the lowest number of refugees it has seen since 1980, with just over 11,400 being allowed into the country.

You have no idea what you are talking about regarding the border situation.

As for gun control, nobody is trying to end gun ownership. They are trying to make it “well regulated”.

Do you think requiring a license to drive is an infringement on your rights?

The 11,400 was those that came into the country legally. Over 2,000,000 have come across the border via Mexico with the paid assistance of the Mexican cartels since the Biden administration came into power. This is documented and has video footage showing people crossing the Rio Grande River. Over the past month or two, 4000+ illegals have been bused to Washington DC by the Governor of Texas. The result has been for the Mayor of Washington DC to ask for the National Guard to help control them and the White House Press Secretary to call the busing of these "illegals" a publicity stunt. Seems kind of funny in that it was not an issue until they started showing up, by the bus load, in Washington DC

Getting a driver's license IS NOT A RIGHT, it's a convenience
Owning a pistol, rifle or shotgun IS A RIGHT given to us in the US Constitution. Therefore, to require someone to have to pay for a permit or get a license to have or use a common firearm is an unconstitutional infringement on that right.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

2nd amendment says arms not guns. In the late 1700's arms could mean an ax or sword. Very vague at best. So what is a state militia for security. (proud boys?) In my right to bear arms can I keep an Abrahms tank in my garage or a 50 cal machine gun, or do I have to join a militia to qualify.
