So a little backstory on this boat. I got it back in 2011 or 2012 from John Knight (I'm sure many of you know him if you ever raced in Charleston). He was helping me with another boat and as a surprise the person I was dating back then bought it from him as a gift for me. My first build was a Lap Cat II in the early 80's (recently sold) and then I built a JAE 21 in 2011 (may sell it also). I've never raced any of my boats but used to own a lake house on Lake Marion in S.C. where I enjoyed running them. I have been to a few races when I lived in Charleston (Fall Nationals and World Tunnel Championship) and met a few of you that are on this site. Always enjoyed those races and took lots of pictures of some beautiful builds. A year after getting the boat I had to sell my lake house. I moved to Georgia in 2014 and haven't run a boat since I sold the lake house. I really don't have a good place to run them plus if I went to a public lake I wouldn't have a way to retrieve them since I sold my boat and gave my personal watercraft to my kids. Would hate to try and retrieve them in a kayak. I have only run this boat 3 or 4 times since I received it. It has been kept inside my home since day one. Every time I ran this boat it fired right up, ran great and not once did it ever stall on me. Evidently John had it really dialed in and was the best handling boat I owned. I know it has been sitting for a while but I make it a point to oil it often to keep everything lubricated. It spins freely and feels smooth with good compression. It comes with everything you see (no receiver) and includes prop, hopper tank and 3rd needle installed. I'm sure John could answer technical questions if you have any as I have no knowledge of any work that may or may not have been done to the motor. I know he is still on here periodically even though he has retired from the sport from what I've read. I've never worked on any of these motors before and when I had work done on my K&B 7.5 years ago, I shipped it to Rod Geraghty (RIP). There are some cosmetic issues with the boat like some cracks in the cowl but it feels strong and fits securely. The nose on the bottom has a gap seen in the pics but I'm not sure if that is normal or not for this model but it appears to be sealed with clear silicone with no leaks. It's been this way from day one with no issues. I haven't done anything to it since I got it expect throw it in the water and run it. Hopefully the pictures are self explanatory but if you have any questions or want more pictures just let me know. I'll do my best to provide an answer.
I am asking $450 OBO plus shipping for everything.
Thanks
John

wow, thats my old boat, sold that to john a while back. great hull, htb hulls are not available any more and in my opinion still the best rough water boat out there. definitly a blast from the past
Wow. Didn't know John wasn't the original owner. Only ran it a few times but it sure was a blast to drive and handled like a dream. I let a buddy drive it once and he was impressed with how easy it was to drive.

the hull came from josh at precision boats, didnt use a hopper cowl, i used a dumas 7.5 hot shot cowl on it. if someone is looking for a great rough water boat this is it, i already have a spare hull , if i didnt i would have bought it from you. nice boat, most likely wont last long at that price. great buy

Thanks appreciate the information. Hopefully someone on here will be interested. Would love for someone to enjoy using it vs it just sitting in my house.

Agreed on best rough water hulls. Built well to still be around too

Sounds good. I already took the motor off for packing and need to cut down the box I have that's way too large. I can work on the box tomorrow and I will pick up some more packing material tomorrow as well. Hopefully I can get everything packed up tomorrow in order to ship it out on Wednesday provided work doesn't get in the way. It has been extremely busy recently. I'll send you a PM with my paypal info and you can respond with your address. I'll also keep you posted on the shipping status and info.

Boat arrived safely. Great packing! Thanks John. My grandson is going to try boats with me.
That's awesome. Glad you got it in good condition and that the packing held up. I hope you enjoy the time with your grandson. That boat will probably be great for him. Easiest boat to drive that I ever had. Have fun.
