It was time for a new F/X Hydro so I picked up this hull from Mr. Bullard and have started on the build. Pics as built from Mark.

Painted identical to the 67 SST rigger. These are sprayed with Createx Autocolors. Primer than paint. No clear in this pics.

Cleared with 2 coats of Southern Polyurethane 2K. Sun was not out, but there are some nice pearl elements in the yellow and orange.

Instead of running a brass tube or fuel line thru the radio box that can spring a leak. It is a piece of aluminum tube that you run the line from the rudder to the motor thru the tube.
Those come with the boat Mark? I never like running water thru my radio box. Especially with a fuel line. Seen too many jsut split from pressure and the bouncing. Brass was too thin and would eventually split as well. I run a .065 wall 3/16 SS tube in mine. But this gets you there as well.

Mike, this works quite well. I have the same in my 67 SST rigger. The aluminum tube runs the length from bait box to engine compartment. It allows for a single continuous piece of tubing to run from the rudder to the engine without a break. This is the best pic I have of the 67 hydro showing the tube running back to front.

I assume Mark is putting it in for ya since that would kind of be a bltch after the fact.

Yes Mike, I put them in all of my boats. The twin has one on each side. This allows the water to be split in the bait box and run to each motor. Been doing it for many years. I had a brass tube break in the radio box back in the 80's which allowed the box to fill with water. And of course we all know what happened then.

I have been running the same in my 40, 90 and twin SST's for years also. Never had a problem

A little more progress today. Fronts and rears in place. Rear hardware mounted. 101 fitted. Promodeler steering servo mounted and linkage setup.
