Boat clubs in North Carolina

Was wondering if anyone knows where they are running boats in North Carolina or South Carolina as a second choice. Also any recommended boat clubs

Hello Mike,

There are very few clubs in NC or SC. The most active one that comes to mind is Charleston near the coast. There is a club that runs near Elizabeth City, NC and another that runs near Oakridge, TN. Most of the clubs are north in VA or south in Georgia. There was a fun run group in Charlotte before COVID, but I believe that has mostly disbanded now.

Mike, There is a couple of us that run almost every weekend North of Charlotte. I run occasionally during the week. The Charlotte club is still intact. Just trying to find a suitable location. We have one site located. But, like Tyler said. The owners were somewhat concerned about COVID the last conversation with them.

Chris, I want to say it's the Old Dominion club that runs at Elizabeth city. Don Ferrette is the best person who could answer.

Yes we have a club in wilmington Nc.. wilmington area model boaters.. we run about ever weekend depending on weather..
