Hey guys,

Been in the outboard game forever so I’m clueless on most things inboard. Starting a new venture so was wondering what “THE” pipe is for a gold head CMB RS Evo .45 for a hydro. I know I’m going to get a million answers here so let the comments fly. Also as a bonus question, what’s the ballpark for prop selection?

Thanks!
-Mitch Jr.

Bouchie is the best, if one can be found.

props: Octura 1657. Needs to be modified.
ABC: 2215 2217 2219 2221
2315 2317 2319 2321
Running ABC IS LIKE A QUICK CHANGE REAR END

Get the ABC PROP CHART. It will help immensely

It all depends more on the boat than the motor

We do have one Bouchie luckily!

Really surprised no one has picked these back up yet, they’d be about the easiest sell as far as pipes go. I know we’d place an order for two immediately. Thanks for the suggestions Doc!

If anyone is reading let’s make it happen! Those pipes are too nice to be down, Zipp picking up the 21 was great for everyone!

If you can get hold of a K pipe it would also b a good choice.

A lot of the local guys here are having real good results in Sport 40/ CMB 45 RS EVO setup with the OPS #6280 pipe....
it's got a bit more volume to it than the CMB pipe.
Once in a great while, a NIB 6280 will show up on eBay, etc. The pipe is still being made, and is available from
Mantua Model in Lombardia, Italy. I've talked to them about buying OPS pipes and parts, but the only way I know of
to contact them is via their Facebook page-

Log into Facebook | Facebook

I think the pipe P/N has been reclassified as #628

Hope this helps.

Thanks-
