Well like many others my consulting job shut down. So I am finding out what it is like to be completely retired.

So to get relief from C19 I decided to build a boat. Great relief from all the VIRUS ISSUES.

Making progress: Finished up the motor mount. BTW for. CMB Beta 21 the mounting holes are center on center 21 mm apart and 3 mm from the side of the case

Waiting on plywood and CF tubes to continue the project
Sandwich for front sponsons are done
Ski done
Motor mount done
Jig for tub done
Template for tube done

I don't mean to steal your post but for the C19 relief I am taking all the motors our of my nitro boats, juice them up real good and bag them. I am using Corrosion X. What are others using for long time storage?
Bill Hoch

I like Corrosion X. Years ago Bill McGraw got me using it.

It made a big difference in the longevity of bearings.

Be sure to squirt some into the cooling head to prevent the head bolts from rusting

I take the engines out right after a race or testing. I use Rislone as an after run and Corrosion X for juicing for storage of 1 week or longer, I usually pull the heads of for inspection as well.

I also take the engines out of my boats and clean the boat and put Corr-x in the engine and grease the shaft and the put everything back togather.
then when I'm ready to run the boats again all I have to do is check things out and charge the battery, my boats only sit for about two or three weeks before they hit the water again.

My boats usually only sit for a short time too but with this virus I can't see using them for at least another month maybe longer. We have quite a few members in our club and it would be hard to "social distance" on the weekend.

I can go to a pond that is covered by NAMBA insurance, not big enough to race but a great test pond, and only 5 or 6 people show up on Sundays.

Hi Bill,
What you said works, I used my normal after run oil. 50/50 mix of Marvel mystery oil and Marvel air tool oil. I have never had a problem.

Thanks for the info. I have heard of people using Mystery oil with good results too.

The tub is starting to take shape
