Ray,
I have the one that Sherwin Williams sells and it works great for their house paint. It tells you their colors that match on your I-phone though and it does not tell you what sheen (gloss, semi-gloss, flat, satin, etc.) the paint is. There may be a way to have it output RGB numbers so your could mix any paint to match. Never thought of doing that. I have to see if it can give RGB instead of SW color names. Its called "Colorsnap".

Just checked it . The app gives RGB, Lab, LCH, and HEX numbers and codes. Very nice.

Another update on the color grabber. I tried an app called "color name". I just loaded the free version but it seems to be able to identify and give your current color sample a name and RGB number on the viewing screen. If you tap the screen when your color is centered in the camera view it gives a list of values in RGB, CMYK, HSB, Hex or Pantone colors that are close to your sample. You can also forward the pic of your sample and its values to email, text or photo if you like. Super easy. Only drawback is when you use the free version it likes to pop up the Pro version for you to purchase - which gets annoying.
