Very nice boat Mike.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. :D:D:D:D

Too many bills due to take it Mike. If that boat looks half as good first hand as your other boats that I have seen, you're almost giving it away.

All of the Yorks, Holset Turbo and 8255 boats I bought or built were only meant to do one thing, to be as competitive as possible racing. That is the reason for the CF boats now. I am thinking of machining steel molds for CF turnfin brackets and turnfins.

I approached this Bud build the same as my Checkerboard Bardahl in that I decided to pour the scale detail into them for the fun of it.

UNW at the time had a Roundnose Classic class and everybody was VERY careful of other peoples stuff. It was never really built as a heat racing boat although the thing was based on Russ Nachweihs design and was wicked fast and turned like it was on rails. That class sort of faltered so I sold the Checkerboard because I didn't have the heart to see it run over. Same with this boat. On the other hand I can strip the rc set up out of it and make it a display boat. These Velasco hulls do pretty good as I have seen them win quite a few races in UNW and RCU.

I plan on building the 63-65 Secret Agent Bardahl over the winter and I will put a lot of scale goodies in it (love the exposed engines). Especially now that I have a lathe and mill. It will be something I will just run once in a while as safely as I can just because I loved the boat and grew up a couple of miles from the Bardahl plant in Ballard. As kids we would ride our bikes over there and to the boat shop to look at the boats and trophy room. They were always very welcoming to the kids.
