You know each hobby takes a certain type of person. Boating has the best ppl in it by far! I was into the slotcars, many have no idea about them , but they are more costly and very competitive also. As a indoor sport, I miss being out by the water. Seems to add life to the hobby. A cool calm morning water just right, and just a touch of wind, perfect for testing or racing. Thats what I missed! here are some pics of the slots that I am leaving behind, Nice ppl also, dont get me wrong, but boaters rule ;)

I got side-tracked as usual last night and ran across this while viewing another video:

Nitro and slot cars combined! I didn't know there was such an animal! It's just not RC boats though.....

lol yeah I saw that, i was working on brushless slot cars, with rc controllers. But loss interest.

slot cars can definetely break ya. I was into the slot car drag racing for a little while... burn up a $40 motor every couple passes.. get expensive quick.

lol Yeap a gp7 wing car cost $500, you replace the motor every heat, each motor cost $300-$400 at 8 heats a race thats $1200 worth of motors to be competitive. not counting the money it takes to re-build each motor after every race lol

Thats friggin nuts. I could never see spending the money on the 'bigdawg' Koford stuff since we were just racing for fun, not grudge racing for money. Usually had around $200-225 total in the cars. Difalco controller i used was more then the cars alone
