Grim,

Let's hear what your latest setup was to get the 50 mph mark out of your VS1. All the RC car pro drivers give their setups down to the very last adjustment. Since you are the pro tunnel racer, let's see what you've done to make that boat a screamer.

You and I both know with this information you won't become a winner. But it will get me close to the 50mph mark. Yee Haw. I'll stuff it going through turn one, but I'll get to turn around and say, "Man did you see how fast that thing was going?"

After all the nickles I gave you for the rotten teeth you put under your pillow, this is the thanks I get! He only told you because he knew you couldn't understand the words that were coming out of his mouth :p

You should go with the set-up that puts you behind me every race. :p :p :p

All I can say is that my wounded Hot Shot Sprint SS will be back (maybe) again this year and will still kick the Fairy Dust!

I am sure that I don't have that set up Chris but what I will do for you is stay behind you instead of lapping you if that will help you feel better.... :p :p :p

The inside line? Does Grim have the abillity to teach how to drive over IW? Greg
If you pay attention and ever talk to Mike on driving you will learn a lot. Going fast vs control and making it to lap 6. Have to say he has helped us win some races that we may have lost before. You won't see a GPS out on the course with you. It's a great tool but at the end of the day points win races. When in doubt Jay and I always revert to WWMD (what would Mike do)

As for set up just tell the truth and everyone will think your sandbagging and not believe you anyway. The good racers don't need to sandbag and really want everone's "A-game".

Mic speaks the truth. At the TCMBC races in sport tunnel the slowist boat had the most points for the year!

AND IT WASN'T YOURS!...or mine either

Over here I have the same philosophy, tell them what they need to know to get the racing more competative, not just say 'Oh I can't tell ya'.

Mic is right, Mike definately seems like a stand up guy and also seems to tell you the answers you ask the questions for...

Our Villain is still HOOTING 5 Years on AND with about 8oz of Extra weight on the CoG to help it in our race water!

I wasn't bashing Mike I have met him and he is a stand up guy. I was trying to point out that a person with superior driving skill can make up for speed. To finish first you first must finish. Mike is obviously a great driver along with great set up knowledge you would find that combo tough to beat in any erea of the country.Greg

I agree on the setup knowledge of Mike Z...

Last year he came with a very nicely looking D-tunnel to the races, hasn't seen water and guess what...That thing ran around the course like a clock, not the fastest, but very steady.............

Yep only a few guys are able to do that, and Mike is one them

I know Greg  I just thought I would do a little kiss ass while I am bored at work LOL

Grim, Do you happen to have a setup plan for a stock K&B SS engine? Also, does not running a tuned pipe apply to the SS engine too? Thanks, Mike

Only changes are

1.5deg neg

1440 back cut 17deg cup to 3.3

center of bullet .150" above setup board (might have to go higher if the prop is not quite right)

NO PIPE.. sorry..

this will net you around 47mph on a SS motor as well as a properly setup 8907
