Hi Guys,

Just finished mounting the hardware for my H&M hydro. Using a speedmaster rudder and Fullers new 1.5" super strut backet (needed the distance because of the way the boat is constructed). The back edge of the rudder comes to about mid prop. Should a build a stand off to make the leading edge of the rudder behind the prop?

Thanks in advance,

Ray

Hmm? You should be OK. One of my better boats, My maus 1/16th scale is setup similar to what you're mentioning.

Give it a shot,

Dick

Dick,

Thanks for the reply. I noticed in your pics in the article on the Maus that the rudder was actually forward of the back edge of the prop. Glad NOT to have to build some more hardware! Actually, I think the boat would have a little less tendency to hook with the rudder a little forward.

You guys are great. Thanks for the help. I will post pics of the boat in the next few weeks.

Again Thanks,

Ray

P.S. Anybody got a good source for pics of the 1990 JIF/Mr. Pringles boat?

Ray

Im looking for pics of the same boat, if you find any let me know. ~ James
