I was just wondering why I haven't seen scale boats from this class of race boats? I think they would be fun to build.

The GP’s have to be a minimum of 21’ and maximum of 26’ long and 12.5’ wide. They are smaller than the unlimiteds. So 1/8 scale would be between 32” and 39” long. Split that down the middle and you’re right around 36” long and 16-18 or so wide. So essentially, sport 40’s ARE 1/8 scale when modeling 7 liter style hulls. If you were modeling an unlimited for sport 40 specs, it would be more like 1/10 scale.

I understand now, thanks for the clarification.

Mark Anderson,

Where can someone get in touch with Jason Pomerlou. I'm looking for a 34" GP Hull for Sport 20 class.

Regards,

Bert,

Send him a message through Facebook Messenger. That’s how I’ve always communicated with him. I bought a gas size gp kit from him last year but haven’t built it yet. Kit looks nice though.

On Facebook Messenger, his handle is just his name. Be mindful of the spelling. It is Jason Pomerleau. OR… on Facebook itself, there’s a group called Anything Hydroplanes. He’s active on there. You could reply to one of his posts and tell him to contact you about a kit.
