I finally was able to get around to degree wheeling this little engine. And with two 3 thou spacers made from coke can aluminum I was able to come up with these numbers.
intake rotor open 212
intake rotor close 61
transfers 128
exhaust 184
blowdown 28
squish 7 thou
I have ran 3 tanks on the bench and I switched to the supertigre .18 carburetor because it was 7mm and was larger than stock carb. It seems to run real good.
Also trying the ops pipe with a 1/4 stinger to the high point inside running it at 71/4 inches to start on length. I will have to try a few pipes on the water I have about 5 to try so far but it looks to be a good engine . The numbers are pretty good for no grinding just raising the sleeve so I am pretty happy about that. I will also have to try to machine the head down to around 4 thou once it breaks in . Let me know your thoughts on the numbers. and any changes you think would make it better still.
Thanks Dave

Was going to suggest raising the exhaust port timing, but only if you were running a higher nitro content...

Interested in hearing how this little setup runs,,
been thinking about finding a little.12 rigger to play with...

I do like to have them at the 30 degree blowdown but I will try it like this first. hate to go grinding before I see what kind of props it can pull. I know on bigger 2 strokes when I go over 187 or so they get pretty peaky and drink a lot of fuel . I love playing with this little rigger it turns so fast and is a blast. I still want to do the wire drive to it too but that will have to come later. spring is here and I have a northwind 40 and a seaducer 42 gas boat and a provee gas still to finish.
