I'm going to build an outrigger for PLAY the length of hull as of now will be 34'' to 36'' from front tips of front sponson to the transom ,tub will be 4'' wide inside, tub height will be 2 1/4 tall , AND IM GOING TO TRY AND FIT THE BATTERY PACKS INBETWEEN MY BOOMs,

I'm ordering a castle creation 1717 2200kv or the 1717 1600kv , cause I'm undecided on 4s or 6s , still undecided on an esc also,

my question is what do you all think of the motor choice and recommendations for an esc up to 6s, ,plus I read where some advised 5.5mm bullet connectors, size of prop to use on this set-up.

more question later hope I can get all my equipiment from your suggestions,

Jeff,

Your post is a little confusing on the motor description. Castle make a 1717 1600kv motor and a 1515 2200kv motor. The 1717 is an excellent choice for Q hydro and the 1515 would be a solid choice for P hydro. 2200kv is too much for Q hydro, and 1600kv is on the low side for P hydro.

5.5mm bullets would be the minimum you want to run. I would suggest 6mm, 6.5mm, or 8mm for the motor to controller connection and 5.5mm or larger for your batteries. If run parallel batteries, 5.5mm would be fine. A single pack will require high quality connections as you will be pushing 200A.

As far as controllers, there are a couple decent options for either 4S or 6S. The Turnigy T-180 is very reliable. A converted Castle ICE 200 or hydra 240 work well. MGM's 28026 will work but is not terribly friendly with the Castle/Neu motors. The Swordfish 200 and 220 will also work. The controller will depend on packaging as some fit in rigger better than others.

I was looking at two for one, 4s and 6s in one rigger, but looks like I have to have one or the other,

I will use two 7.4 5000 35c for 4s and two 11,1 5000 35c for 6s,

esc

looks like I may go with the turnigy 180 or a swordfish 200 or 220 ,

once I get all my parts right , I will order them them when it come in I can build around the parts
