Curious what the reason is for the rudder to to 6" from the transom on a gas mono. Is it just to help the boat turn better or does it help settle the boat in the straight. I have run them close and extended on my nitro monos in the past but never really understood why it is where it is

Has anyone had it put in a 12oz. spray can. Have a new boat to do and wondering if it works well. Thinking of trying Tangelo orange and HOK show clear. Really dont want to buy a quart @140. Spray cans can be had for 25 bucks. Need some thoughts on it. Need to spray a sport 40 and boat stand...

Loking for a good strut and rudder for 47" delta foce mono. What is the recommended dimension from the end to the transom? Setback for rudder? Prefer running a Strut vs. a stinger First gas boat so not sure where to start. Thanks Mark
