Anyone have real motor specs for 1717 castle/nue

That's good. Will this be raced? Do you require a pistix to arm the ESC? Or can you trim the throttle channel back with your tx far enough to arm?

Anyone have real motor specs for 1717 castle/nue

Ah ok, I see what you have done. RMS is the average value for current or voltage in a sine wave. A common example of this is the AC current we get from a wall in our home. The actual Voltage we see and use is the RMS voltage. The peak to peak voltage is higher. The waveform of the output in...

Anyone have real motor specs for 1717 castle/nue

The max "usable" current is not always the same. Change in conditions can greatly vary results. Neu generally doesn't provide this value, however Castle does which may give buyers an idea for an ESC. The fact that this motor was initially intended for land use changes the way one would choose a...

    OT: POLITICS

Wow that is close. It's too bad the conservatives only pulled off 144 seats. Pretty close to a Majority government compared to a couple years ago. Parties such as BQ and the green party have got to go. Ryan

My 1/4 Scale DPI Tunnel Running Pics

That's an excellent looking hull. The recovery pads/stumble blocks IMO do not help keep the nose down. Adding weight to the front of the hull will help. I find tunnels to run best when the CofG is around 30-35% As for size, it ranges from hull to hull as some don't need as much as others. I...

    1 or 2 st. servos

One standard sized servo is far more than enough in my opinion. Any more than one is just a waste of weight and space. I have been using the HS-5645MG Hitec servo now for a while. It is reliable, digital, and has the torque. Ryan

    Who Needs a Neu....

You could perhaps try a MEGA 22/45/1 or 22/45/1E. I believe the 1E is around 2100kv and the 1 is about 2500kv. Ryan

    Hydro or Tunnel

Shawn, I'm from Hamilton and own a 7.5cc DPI Tunnel with a piped K&B engine. I'm running mid 40's consistantly. I only run my tunnel at the cottage as I don't know of any decent place to run them around here without any trouble. I race FE boats. If you plan to race in the future I would check...

Newbie needs help choosing a prop

If running 11.1v @ 4200mAh, I would run upwards of a 50mm prop. It won't be fast but getting on step will be rather instantaneous. Ryan

Transom mount size of a 7.5 and a zenoah outboard?

Nice, I'd like to see the progress. What dimension did you use for height of the transom in relation to bottom of sponsons? Or what is the lawless dimension from center of prop line to bottom of mount? Ryan

    FMH Dolphin outboard

I would have to agree. It drives me crazy that these incorrectly advertised hulls can be sold on eBay. Features are endless on the description list until the boat arrives in the buyers hands. Ryan

    FMH Dolphin outboard

That boat has been out on eBay for quite some time now. Many people have purchased it and were quite dissapointed with poor descriptions and support from the sellers. There are issues throughout the whole boat including the poorly designed engine setup. Top speed is around 20mph. The boat...
