Head shims are a PIA to make, ask any manufacturer. However for making a couple of shims you can do really well with an engineers divider used to trepan/scribe the shim out. K&S do a nice pack of assorted shim stock.

Lohring Thanks for posting that info. I know there were better engines sold than K&B but I thought that 'bang for buck' that they held their heads high. I still have a couple of pylon engines in the cupboards.
