    Vegas Rudder upgrade

I worked on a rudder for the MV... Last I know, Toyota was selling some of them. As compared to the stock rudder, it was a visable increase in speed. It bolted right into the stock mount (just a new blade). Sean

    Miss vegas duece flexshaft problems!!

I wrap tape on the keeper side of the cut...then I tin the flex a little using flux and solder at the spot I taped. Then I cut through it using a cutting wheel on a dremel...and round off the edges. The solder wicks down into the wrapped end (keeper side) of the cable. If you get too much...

Video of New Deltaforce 21 MKII with Novarossi Engine Gear Drive

Unless I am missing something...No prices, no hardware, no instructions... I don't think that website is a retail website. "Contact" pages leads to off shore electric.

    Miss vegas duece flexshaft problems!!

Guess I should have read the rest of the thread before posting. I did not realize Toyota was back...but he is the "Mike" I am referring to. As to props, I had real good luck with a balanced and sharpened Y535 with the non-deuce hulls. I have not had as good of luck with this prop on the Deuce...

    Miss vegas duece flexshaft problems!!

Well, here is why we had problems with our Deuce...not sure if this was resolved or not: I don't know if Mike is Wichita is still making shafts...but he was offering stainless shafts in both 1/8th and 3/16th. Sean

Video of New Deltaforce 21 MKII with Novarossi Engine Gear Drive

Have seen DF hulls before...been beat by one in OK city (.45 engine size). But have never seen build sheets, etc. Is there a place that carries the hulls, hardware, and offers build recommendations in the states?? (for nitro of course) Sean

    Head Button Machining

No expert here, but I use a ball end mill clamped in my tool rest (so it is NOT spinning...the button is). Sean

Best place to buy Raw Props?

Off shore electrics was one of the cheapest places I found them when i was searching a couple years ago. Only problem was the shipping eats into it unless you are buying a few items. I normally just buy them in hobby shops to avoid the shipping costs. Sean

How does one learn about racing nitro boats

Sorry I did not get back sooner. Looks like David already set you on the right path. He has more wheel time than I do, so he would be more likely to steer you in the right direction anyhow. I think my .45 is 38 inches long, and it is hard to keep the wet side down and the pointy end forward...

How does one learn about racing nitro boats

If you are just going to fool around, then get what you want. If you want to race eventually, then some other things should be taken into consideration. Lots of good advice here. I would parrot the response of checking with your local clubs to see what is popular. .21 mono normally makes its...

    Small business question

He already uses Paladin (Sp?) for POS and merchandising. The three machines he has would only cost him a little under $2k preloaded with the POS software. But what you are talking about is kind of the problem I am running into. All he needs is something to track payments, etc. Problem is he...

    Small business question

Thanks all. I will do some research on quickbooks and GNU cash. I hate to deal with Intuit. Not sure if you all have ever called their customer support, but last time I dealt with them, I went through at least 8 people, to get two different answers to my question (wanted an explanation of a...

    Small business question

Thanks guys. This is software to purchase, and not a "service" correct?? I ask because it seems like a lot of these companies want to sell a "service" so they can keep on getting paid forever. The quikdraw I mentioned in my other post wants $249 a month. Seems like too much for what probably...
