I have a large drawer of Picco 67EXR engines and parts, a few new mostly used if you are interested I will catalog and take pics of the large collection. There might be some Picco EXR 80s in there.
Here are some pics that contain part numbers of some of the parts I sold last year. These were most definitely 1999 Black head Long stroke EXR 7.5 engines with the larger front bearing 8mm ID.
I use mine to keep tabs on balancing both off charge and after use. Seen a few life receiver battery failures, all were from one cell going bad, could have been caught with a little more care.
A $10.00 battery balance voltage checker that plugs into the balance port helps keep tabs on each cell. A worthy addition to your pit box if using lithium batteries, life or lipo.
If the paint is not "nitro proof", you could try 100% nitro to dissolve it and a small wire brush. But most people would only use an two part epoxy paint on the inside of a boat, so you may be out of luck on that.
Brad, I think you should get a tape like this from a current supplier of stripping tape. ( Do a Google search of "Striping tape for cars"). I got some tape in a box on the shelf but it is probably 20 to 40 years old. I would think a quality builder like you would want near new stuff and not...
This one looks like an early RPM rod, the early ones had a straight cut at the wrist pin end and parallel side cuts on the shank, later rods used more complicated CNC programming and had tapered shank and orbiting cuts around the wristpin and crank pin. So my vote is it is an early RPM rod.
